When Marshmallow was a kitten, she hit her head so hard that she developed a bump the size of a marshmallow; thus her name. The veterinarian said she'd never recover to the point that she could feed and bathe herself, and suggested putting her down. Today, the bump is long gone and her disability is limited to poor equilibrium and depth perception. Here, Marsh poses proudly at the top of a stairway that, after much practice, she is able to go up and down all by herself.
